Steps and Stories for the Mind

Our mission is to offer everyone a simple and reliable way to improve mental wellbeing. Walk together, think differently – and find clarity, inner momentum, and meaning

WAT stands on two essential pillars: group walks in nature and guided reflection through words

WAT matters? Walks And Talks in a few words

Problem

Our professional and personal environments are saturated with noise, pressure, expectations, and constant mental load

Intuition

Clear thinking, sound decisions, and a sense of meaning don’t grow sitting still, facing a screen. Movement, nature, and guided dialogue change the quality of thought. That’s how WAT began

Mission

A simple, natural method that fits into everyday life. No pressure, no performance — just steady steps forward and no dropping out

Method

Practical activities and tools, supported by a dedicated app that guides participants before, during, and after each walk

Benefits

Walking side by side, taking time to reflect, listening and being heard — simple experiences that, when held in the right framework, become deeply transformative

Results

Early estimates are highly encouraging: stress, anxiety, and rumination decrease by 25–50%, while feelings of connection and wellbeing improve by 20–40%

How do I know if WAT is right for me?

WAT is for anyone who feels the need to slow down, gain perspective, or think more clearly. If you often think better while walking, or find conversations flow more naturally side by side than face to face, WAT may feel surprisingly natural. It’s a gentle but structured space to reflect, connect, and move forward

What can I expect during my first WAT?

Your first WAT is designed to be simple, welcoming, and pressure-free. A trained guide introduces the theme and gently structures moments of walking, reflection, and paired or group conversation. There is no obligation to share anything you’re not comfortable expressing. Most people leave feeling lighter, clearer, and pleasantly surprised by how naturally the process unfolds

If I choose WAT therapy, how long does it usually take?

WAT therapy typically unfolds over several weeks, allowing time for deeper changes to take root. The exact duration depends on your goals, your starting point, and the pace that feels right for you. Some people notice meaningful shifts within a few sessions, while others benefit from a longer journey. The process is structured but flexible, always respecting your rhythm

Do I need anything before I start?

No special preparation is required. Comfortable clothes, suitable shoes, and an openness to walking and talking are enough. You don’t need to be athletic — the pace is gentle and accessible. Before your first session, the app may invite you to answer a few short questions to help you set your intentions

Is it covered by medical insurance? How much it cost?

WAT is not covered but is very affordable. Depending on countries, the cost per session ranges from 15 to 25€ for individuals. This serves to remunerate guides and the development of WAT methods. We are a non-profit and apply full transparency on our operations and financials. Contact us if you have any question
