Walking Helps Me Leave My Mind Behind – By Agustina Milagros – Buenos Aires, Argentina 🇦🇷
As a medical student, my days are filled with studying, analyzing and solving problems. My mind is constantly working. But when I walk, something changes.
I love walking home from university through the streets of Buenos Aires. Watching the trees, the sky and the people rushing past. Sometimes I walk with others, but often I walk alone. Yet I am never really alone. Ideas, stories and new perspectives emerge naturally as I move. Creativity seems to flow more freely with every step.
Whenever I feel anxious, overwhelmed or trapped in endless thoughts, I head to a nearby park. I walk briskly, listening to music, feeling the air on my skin and reconnecting with the world around me. The movement calms me. The rhythm grounds me.
Walking doesn’t make my challenges disappear. But it helps me step out of my head and back into the present moment. I return feeling clearer, calmer and more balanced.
For me, walking is much more than exercise. It is one of the simplest and most effective ways to reconnect with myself.
